If you are a collector

Your next discovery for your home or office should have something in common with the Whitney, the Met, and MoMA.
We can help.

Ours is the only publication in the art world that publishes compelling backstories about significant discoveries and rediscoveries, presents exhibitions of their equally compelling art, and even invites you to purchase the very artworks that illustrate those stories. Being nosey art historians, we also bring you behind the scenes and connect you with our colleagues who are proven leaders in this special field.

Quite simply, you’ll get insights and trusted advice as you discover the most exciting value proposition in collecting.
Our promise: No hype, no fluff.
So, tell us your wishes for enhancing your art collection.

If you are a late-career artist or manager of an artist estate collection

This is a visual thing. So, the first step is to send us 10–20 digital images of your work. If the images are large, use Dropbox or Hightail. Provide full descriptive details for each work in this order: title, date, medium, dimensions. We also need a brief biography and any other support information you may wish to send via email. We promise to take a serious look and respond as soon as possible. Because we always have a number of projects requiring full immersion in research, writing, and travel, please give us about 10 days. Then feel free to bug us.

If you are an art historian…

We want to learn about your own discoveries. We also want to know if you’d like to join us as a writer for our projects that fit your special interests. We would love to hear from our sisters and brothers who are members of the Association of Historians of American Art (AHAA), the Catalogue Raisonné Scholars Association (CRSA), the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS) — as well as independent scholars.

And for everyone else…

We’re interested in people — not social media marketing.
Email always assures the quickest response so please fill out the contact form below. (We promise your email is never shared with anyone!) If your question is urgent you can call directly (203.245.2246) but if you don’t reach us right away just leave your message, telling what you’d like to discuss, and we promise we’ll return your call.

Where we are

Our Curatorial Board is all over the place, from East Coast to West Coast.
You may catch our Editor-in-Chief, Peter Falk, in either his Manhattan or Connecticut offices. If you don’t reach him immediately he’s probably on the MetroNorth train in between or flying to who knows where.
