| Back Story | Olivia inscribed her portrait, “Cannes, le 26 Mai, 1965.” This coincides with her presiding as the first female President of the judging committee for the Cannes Film Festival. Only about half of the portraits owned by Reiter are inscribed with a location — the most common being Cannes and Paris where Simatos had homes. He certainly met many of his celebrity sitters in both cities. |
